The Isles of Scilly National Landscape Partnership is pleased to announce the appointment of Jonathan Smith to the Vice Chair position.
Jonathan has lived and worked on St Martin’s for 22 years, in which time he has established an organic farming business, and through being a Director of Farm Carbon Toolkit has been helping farmers & growers understand their greenhouse gas emissions since 2011. Jonathan was also a Councillor from 2017 until 2021, where he was Lead Member for the Environment and Climate Change, and also represented the Council on the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Local Nature Partnership.
“I am delighted to welcome Jonathan Smith as our new Vice Chair. Jonathan brings a wealth of relevant experience and expertise to the Isles of Scilly National Landscape Partnership, whose members look forward to working with him, as indeed do I. These are exciting and dynamic times for the National Landscape on Scilly and we are lucky to have Jonathan join us to help guide the Partnership as it rises to both opportunities and challenges, and helps the Isles of Scilly to be the best it can be for nature, for people and for its wonderful sense of place.”
